Morning departure for Andasibe, gateway to one of Madagascar’s richest tropical forests. Along the way, we’ll make an enriching stop at the Peyrieras Madagascar Exotique Reserve (also known as Mandraka Park), where you can admire a variety of reptiles, amphibians, and butterflies. After about 6 hours of driving, you’ll settle into Feony Ala Hotel, nestled in the heart of nature.

Prepare for an intense day of discovery at Andasibe-Mantadia National Park. Accompanied by a local guide, you’ll embark on a 4 to 6-hour walk through the lush forest. This is where you’ll have the chance to spot the Indri-Indri, Madagascar’s largest lemur, famous for its melancholic song. You’ll also discover a multitude of other endemic animal and plant species. After breakfast, we’ll head back to Antananarivo. The afternoon will be dedicated to a city tour. You’ll explore historic districts, lively markets, and panoramic viewpoints that offer a glimpse into daily Malagasy life and colonial architecture. Overnight at Chalet des Roses.

Morning flight to Diego Suarez (Antsiranana), a dynamic port city in the north of the island. Thanks to the morning flight, you’ll have the opportunity to take a thorough city tour upon arrival. Discover its colonial architecture, colorful market, and relaxed atmosphere. Check-in at Suarez Hotel.

Today, explore the famous Three Bays: Dunes Bay, Pigeons Bay, and Sakalava Bay. After just an hour’s drive, you’ll enjoy a two-hour stroll along these pristine beaches with turquoise waters, perfect for swimming and photography.

Set off to discover Amber Mountain National Park, a biodiversity jewel. After a 1.5-hour drive from the city, you’ll enter this humid tropical forest where you can hike for up to 6 hours. This park is renowned for its volcanic lakes, refreshing waterfalls, and unique wildlife, including many species of lemurs, chameleons, and birds.

A day dedicated to the Emerald Sea, a spectacular lagoon with unreal colors. You’ll embark on a traditional dugout canoe to navigate these crystal-clear waters, ideal for snorkeling and swimming. A fresh seafood lunch will often be prepared on the beach for an unforgettable experience.

Departure for Ankarana. En route, you’ll have the chance to visit the impressive Red Tsingy, ephemeral geological formations sculpted by erosion, offering a striking lunar landscape. Check-in at Soa Lodge Hotel, near the park.

Dive into the heart of Ankarana National Park, an exceptional site housing incredible karst formations (the Tsingy) and an underground cave network. You can choose a 4 to 8-hour walk to discover its unique landscapes, endemic fauna, and flora, including lemurs, birds, and bats.

After these days rich in discoveries, a transfer will take you to Nosy Be, the “perfume island.” This is where your “Classic North & East” tour concludes. You’ll be transferred to the hotel of your choice to enjoy the rest of your vacation relaxing on Nosy Be’s magnificent beaches.
